Know Your Worth
Before you even start tailoring your resume, take a moment to reflect on your skills, experience and career goals.
What value do you bring to the table? What kind of remote work culture would you thrive in?

Let’s keep it 100%, most young people in South Africa aren’t jobless because they lack skills, but because they don’t know how to package themselves for the digital world.
In the remote economy, it's not about who shouts the loudest, it's about who tells their story best and fastest.
Imagine being able to apply for a remote job that pays in dollars, in less time than it takes to cook pap.
Keep It Simple, Smart and YOU
Start by reading the job post properly.
Identify the key skills they’re asking for, then use those exact words (keywords) in your CV and cover letter.
Create one killer CV template on Canva or Google Docs and edit it for each job (don’t send the same generic one to everyone).
Your cover letter?
Make it short, real and punchy.
Open strong, show you're qualified with proof (not just vibes) and end with energy.
Don’t forget your email game: use a professional address and write a subject line that grabs attention.
It’s Time to Get Seen, Heard and Paid
You don’t need to be perfect, you just need to be ready.
This week, commit to creating or updating your remote CV, write one solid cover letter, and apply for 3 jobs.
Use platforms like LinkedIn and Upwork to find your opportunities.
Don’t sleep on yourself, your next job could be one email away.

Nail the Interview
Congratulations, you got the interview!
Now, it's time to prepare.
Research the company and the interviewer.
Practice your answers to common interview questions.

Follow Up
After the interview, send a thank-you note to the interviewer.
This is a great way to reiterate your interest in the role and leave a lasting impression.

Don't be afraid to network and connect with people in your field. Attend online events and reach out to people on LinkedIn.
Record a short 1-minute intro video, it adds a personal touch to your application.
