Be Intentional and Purposeful Today

What is a Newsletter

Happy Intentional Thursday,

My apologies for the non-publication of this Newsletter on Tuesday as per the schedule.

I had initially intended to send a Tuesday Newsletter focusing on a different topic but had to review and postpone it for later publication and instead focus on questions I feel have been left out since the launch of this Newsletter.

Looking at the responses and activities in the Newsletter I have identified the following questions as urgent and pertinent for you as my Newsletter audience. And these are the questions I feel need to be answered to ensure everyone is on the same level of understanding this concept of an Online Newsletter,

  1. What is a Newsletter?

  2. What makes the Newsletter a special and effective medium of communication?

  3. To whom is a Newsletter aimed intended?

In today’s publication, I will tackle the first question and look at the remaining two for our next publications.

What IS a Newsletter? & What is NOT a Newsletter?

What IS a Newsletter?

1. A newsletter is like a regular email that you receive from someone or a company that wants to share interesting information with you.

2. It is usually sent out regularly to a group of people who have subscribed or even invited to receive it.

3. Newsletters can be created by individuals, companies or organizations to share opportunities, resources, tips, updates or insights with their audience.

4. They can cover a wide range of topics such as career, employment, business opportunities, financial, health resources, product updates, event announcements and educational content.

5. Newsletters are a convenient and easy way to stay informed about topics that interest you and they can often be personalized to your preferences to make them even more relevant and engaging.

What is NOT a Newsletter?

1. A personal email or message is not a newsletter.

2. A newsletter is not a one-time email or announcement.

3. A social media post is not a newsletter.

4. A newsletter is not an advertisement or marketing campaign.

5. A news alert or notification is not a newsletter.

6. A newsletter is not a physical newsletter.

7. A blog post or article is not a newsletter.

Hope you find the above explanation empowering.

In our next publication we will tackle the second question, What makes the Newsletter SO special?
