Remote work isn’t some exclusive estate for the privileged few with Stanford degrees or Silicon Valley accents.

Whether you're in Gomora, Mdantsane or Giyani, or hustling from your bed with spotty Wi-Fi and a phone hotspot, remote work is for you too.

It’s not about where you are.

It’s about what you can do.

The internet is open for business, and companies are actively hiring:

What you need is positioning:

Instead of endlessly updating your CV, hoping for that one callback, build your brand.

Offer a service.

DM a business owner or your contact person.

Create a portfolio, even if it starts with helping your cousin's tuck shop.

I hope you’re not thinking of hopping into the spaza shop bandwagon - of course, unless you just want to survive financially and don’t have a thriving attitude.
