Are you up for a creative AI challenge? MonkeyDonkey Creative AiGency is awarding an online internship to one lucky VISI reader.

Welcome to the VISI AI Brand Challenge with MonkeyDonkey Creative AiGency!

THE BRIEF:

Use your creativity and the power of AI to design the hottest sneakers you can imagine. Then create a brand and showcase it in an advert.

Below is an advert concept example. Check out the image slider at the top for more examples to get those creative juices flowing:

EXPERT TIPS

• Don’t think the bots will simply make everything on their own. You will only truly make magic if you combine your creative skills with the AI tools.

• Start with a concept and then create a design to fit that concept. Think about who will be wearing the shoes and what sort of things will excite them. Are the sneakers for a special occasion/activity, what will they be used for, perhaps they represent a place or a group of people, what materials are they made of? etc.

• Use different tools for different jobs. Individual AI tools are not great for doing everything – use each one for what it is good at (eg. Midjourney is brilliant at visualising designs but not good for creating finished layouts).

• Have fun and create something you would like to wear. When you let yourself go and give yourself freedom, your creativity will know no bounds.

PRIZE

Week-long online mini-internship and AI brand training with Monkey Donkey Creative AiGency. You will learn how to get the most out of AI tools like ChatGPT and Midjourney so you can boost your creativity in the world of design, advertising and content storytelling.

RULES AND T&Cs

• You need to create a beautiful conceptual design, a logo, a positioning line for the brand (think “Just do it”) and then put it together in an ad – as per the example.

• You can use any AI platforms and digital tools to help you but remember, these bots are there to augment your creativity, not to replace it. We worked with ChatGPT, Midjourney, Photoshop Beta and Canva to help create our examples.

• The internship will require you to have a working computer with internet connection and the data to conduct video calls.

• The internship will require you to have active ChatGPT and Midjourney subscriptions (the cheapest paid-for options are fine).

• Winner will be selected by MonkeyDonkey Creative AiGency.

VISI Competition Rules:

• The winners will be the first correct entries drawn after the closing date.

• If a selected winner cannot be reached at the contact details supplied, an alternative winner will be selected.

• Prizes will be delivered to the winners.

• The winners are required to accept the prizes as described in the magazine. No correspondence will be entered into relating to the terms on which the prizes are offered.

• Prizes may not be transferred to another person or converted into cash.

• VISI competitions are open to all South African residents. Employees of New Media and the prize-sponsoring companies, their family members, advertising and promotion agencies and any other parties associated with the competition may not enter.

• You must be 18 years or older to enter this competition.

• Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these rules and agree to be bound by them when entering VISI competitions.

• Data collected may be shared with the prize-sponsoring companies, but will not be sold or passed on to third parties.

• New Media reserves the right to cancel, modify or amend competitions at any time if deemed necessary.

• Winners will not be eligible for other prizes for six months after winning a competition.
